The Brontoboost is a clean boost, distortion, fuzz, and overdrive effect pedal manufactured by Nine Volt Nirvana.
Approximately two hundred were made between April 2002 and early 2004, in two major formats, the Brontoboost and Bronto Jr. These were electronically identical with the difference being the handpainted psychedelic faceplate of the Brontoboost, while the Jr. had a more simple etched graphic directly into the finish. All pedals of this series were unique in that no two pedals carried the same artwork.
Variations: Sometime in late 2002 a series of options were offered. Power supply input jack, LED indicators and a treble reduction mod called the "Tone Dog". Financial trouble caused the demise of Nine Volt Nirvana.
